While we managed to cover the majority of our favorites and the biggest news to come out of the conference, however, there's still plenty left over, and that's where this post comes in.

Alongside new Zones, Sonic Mania is set to host a variety of reimagined classics from the Blue Blur's earliest adventures. Three of these remixed stages have already been confirmed—Green Hill from Sonic 1, an obvious choice; Flying Battery from Sonic & Knuckles, revealed at SXSW 2017; Stardust Speedway from Sonic CD, as seen in the preorder trailer—and now it's time to add the labyrinthine Chemical Plant from Sonic 2 to the lineup.

This won't be the same Chemical Plant Zone classic fans remember, however. Just as Act 1 eases players back into old territory, Act 2 will upend familiarity completely with new hazards and stage gimmicks. See for yourself in the brand new footage after the jump!
