Awesome Games Done Quick, every year's biggest video game speed-running charity event, managed to bring in $1,213,130.33 USD for the Prevent Cancer Foundation this year. The money was raised by 30,575 donors, with an average donation of just under $40 and a top donation of $18,255. While the total donation is more than impressive, it's worth noting that this year's AGDQ, despite lasting a day longer than AGDQ 2015, failed to surpass the previous year's earnings. In fact, donations fell just a couple thousand dollars below Speed Demos Archive's traditionally smaller Summer Games Done Quick event. Might we be seeing a shift in viewer focus from AGDQ to SGDQ?
