Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal offered a fantastic surprise to players after beating the Elite Four - you could go back to the Kanto region from the first generation and visit all your favorite old locations again. With both the Johto and Kanto regions to explore, sixteen gyms to conquer, and tons of Pokémon to catch, it was an exciting experience.
Since then we've visited more regions like Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos, but no other Pokémon game has allowed players to visit multiple regions. A longtime dream of Pokémon fans is a game that includes all regions, and Pokémon X and Y director Junichi Masuda recently discussed that possibility in a Q&A session on Twitter.
If we could come up with a way to really make that interesting, then it’s something we’d implement – but for me, personally, as a theory, I think it would be more fun for us all to enjoy different locations and then share that experience together than all have the same experience in the same region. — Junichi Masuda
Well, there you have it, Pokéfans! If you want to see all six regions, it has to be done in an interesting way, so send your best game ideas to Game Freak and make it happen! Okay, so maybe that's not the best course of action, but it's still something many players would like to see happen.
