Nintendo is capitalizing on nostalgia this holiday season with the release of the NES Classic Edition—a plug and play miniature replica of the original NES, complete with 30 pre-loaded games. Unfortunately, this collector's item has been nearly impossible to find, as Nintendo has shipped it in extremely limited quantities and demand has far outweighed the supply.
If you're still hoping to snag one of these stocking stuffers in time for the holidays, you might still have a chance. While GameStop was recently selling the NES Classic Edition only in expensive bundles, they should be selling them again as a standalone product today or tomorrow. The company announced today that they're getting a "limited shipment" of the console, and that it will be available in store only (not online) today and tomorrow. GameStop recommends you check with your local store to see if they have it in stock.
