Virtual reality seems to be the next big thing in gaming (and beyond), with Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, and other much-hyped devices launching throughout the year. Naturally, retailer GameStop is pleased to have hot new products on the way, but Sony's device in particular has piqued their interest. Speaking during a financial call, Executive Vice President of Business Strategy Mike Hogan revealed that his company is "particularly excited" about PlayStation VR, citing "the attractive price point, the large installed base, and its plug and play capabilities."
PlayStation VR will have a huge presence at GameStop stores in the future, as Hogan announced that "literally hundreds of stores" across North America will have demos for the headset. Additionally, all major GameStop stores in Europe will also have PlayStation VR demos, and there will even be dedicated VR events held at local malls.
