The weekly software and hardware sales numbers from Japan are in, and it was a historically disappointing week for the Japanese market. Yo-kai Watch 3 continued to top the software charts (despite a significant drop-off in sales compared to previous entries in the franchise), and no other games managed to sell 20,000 copies, but that wasn't the biggest disappointment.

Hardware sales dropped almost across the board (only Vita and Xbox One avoided a decline), and PlayStation 4 sold an astonishingly-low 560 units for the week. Those sales will presumably pick up in the coming weeks when the new model launches. In the meantime, analyst Daniel Ahmad of Niko Partners reports that this is the single worst week for Japanese hardware sales on record. You can check out the full breakdown below.
