What do The Legend of Zelda and Google Maps have in common? Normally, not much. But just for today, a Google-fied version of Link is being used as the Street View Icon in Google Maps. The not-so-titular character will act as both your marker and compass for any trips you might be planning today using Google's program. While ultimately silly, it is a nice little feature to enjoy for the day.

The Link icon is most likely a collaboration between Google and Nintendo to help promote the newly released The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Google often shows its appreciation for the legendary video game giant through various Easter eggs like this one, with some of the highlights being an interactive coin block or the whole web page doing a barrel roll. They even had an April Fool's event where you could collect Pokémon using Google Maps.
