The Olympics have come to a close, but we only have to wait four more years before they return—and this time, they'll be taking place in Tokyo. Japan's prime minister, Shinzō Abe, took center stage at tonight's closing ceremony to mark this, and his method of entrance is sure to make any gamer smile: a giant warp pipe. This was accompanied by video footage that showed Mario in Tokyo, diving into a warp pipe on his end; Abe then emerged from the pipe in the stadium, proudly waving a Mario hat to those in attendance.
Check out Abe's entrance in the video below! Have you been keeping up with the Olympics? Could we see even more of Mario when the 2020 Tokyo Olympics roll around? Give us your thoughts in the comments!
