Following Hideo Kojima's departure from Konami, fans of the legendary developer's Metal Gear franchise were understandably worried for the series' future. Konami soon came to the rescue with Metal Gear Survive, but the reaction to the new, zombie-based direction of the game did not receive much positive reception. Even Kojima himself was quoted as wondering "Why would zombies be in Metal Gear?"

We don't know if this reaction had any part in this, but Konami has now announced that Survive has been delayed to early next year, with the intention of adding additional polish to the game. We'll have to wait a bit longer to try out this new Metal Gear experience for ourselves and see whether or not it deserves to bear that title.
