Microsoft has dropped the trademark for Xbox exclusive title Blinx, making it highly unlikely that the franchise will produce a third installment in the series anytime soon. The first title in the series, Blinx: The Time Sweeper, released on the original Xbox in 2002 and was followed up by Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space in 2004.

Developed by Artoon and published by Microsoft Game Studios, Blinx set the bar as one of the more difficult 3D platformers on the original Xbox and proclaimed itself as "The World's First 4D Action Game." Owners of Blinx 2 are still able to enjoy it on Xbox 360 thanks to a backwards compatibility update released on July 12, 2007.
