Nintendo has entertained and inspired millions of people over the past few decades with addicting video game classics like Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong, and one man has contributed to that incredible run more than most. Legendary developer Shigeru Miyamoto first joined Nintendo way back in 1977, and since then he has devoted countless hours to churning out some of the most beloved and iconic games the industry has ever seen, propelling Nintendo to be the household name they are today.

Shigeru Miyamoto celebrates his 64th birthday today (and he's closing in on 40 years at Nintendo), and we look forward to hopefully many more years of video game magic from the man who has contributed so much joy to so many people.
