Game Developers Conference 2016 is right around the corner, and the "State of the Industry" report has been issued ahead of the conference. The report included the results of a developer survey, showing which platforms are most popular with developers right now. The survey brings disappointing news for Nintendo and its fans, as it shows that only 5% of developers surveyed are actively working on Wii UI games. 3DS is even worse off, attracting just 3% of developers, while the upcoming NX has 1% developer support thus far.

PC games led the pack, with 52% of developers actively developing for PC. Mobile was the second most popular platform, and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One followed behind it. There's also a lot of interested in Virtual Reality, with 20% of developers working on titles for Oculus Rift.
