Sony used this year's Game Developers Conference as the venue to announce the price of their upcoming virtual reality device, PlayStation VR. The gadget will cost $399 USD, while in other regions it will be priced at 399 Euros, 349 Pounds, or 44,980 Yen. To put this into perspective, the Oculus Rift is priced at $599 USD and the HTC Vive at $799 USD, so the difference is quite noticeable. Sony added that 50 games will be made available for PlayStation VR from its October launch to the end of the year, and as a cherry on the pie they revealed that they are also partnering with EA and LucasArts to make a Star Wars Battlefront game exclusive for PlayStation VR.
