Yesterday, Niantic Labs released a huge batch of new Pokémon for Pokémon GO. With the latest update for the game, you can now catch over eighty new creatures from the second generation of Pokémon, which originated from the Johto region in Pokémon Gold and Silver for the Game Boy. These include adorable fan-favorite Pokémon like Chikorita, Totodile, Cyndaquil, and Marill. This is the first time that Niantic Labs has released such a large batch of new Pokémon for Pokémon GO since the game's launch last July, and it's inspired thousands upon thousands of people to go back and play the game once again.

After less then twenty-four hours, guides have already been cropping up online to help players collect this new batch of Pokémon, with tons of players recording the locations where they've found rare new creatures. YouTube channel GameXplain has already started making tutorial videos for the new Pokémon GO update, showing us how to ensure that an Eevee will evolve into the newly-added Umbreon and Espeon.

Along with the batch of new Pokémon, Niantic also released several new outfits for player avatars. A small gallery of screenshots of new Pokémon and outfits can be found in the gallery below.
