Following the success of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, it looks like another classic Crash game will soon be remastered for modern audiences. Rumors of the racer's resurrection have been circulating for quite some time now, and a recent series of apparent teasers has fueled that flame substantially. It now seems almost certain that an announcement is coming in just days.
Over the past few days, a Crash Bandicoot Facebook page posted an image of Crash himself with the date December 6th. Two days later, they posted an image of a checkered flag. Because this page isn't verified on Facebook, it's unclear if it's official, which led people to debate about the legitimacy of the teasers.
Things really started heating up today when PlayStation Access Channel Manager Holly Bennett tweeted out an image of large, orange, fuzzy dice. The dice arrived at her house anonymously with the caption "Sliding into the Game Awards on 6/12." Since then Eurogamer has done some digging, and they believe that these are legitimate teasers.
As you might expect, Activision has declined to comment on the subject. However, if this is for real, we won't have to wait long to find out. The Game Awards kick off this Thursday, December 6th, at 5:30 PM Pacific / 8:30 PM Eastern. We'll be covering it all live here at Gamnesia, so tune in for all the exciting award announcements and game reveals!
