Resident Evil 6 was met with very mixed reviews at launch, and many fans have criticized the franchise's departure from survival-horror. Capcom has mostly been working on remakes and spin-offs since then, but we've heard rumblings that Resident Evil 7 is in the works, and Kantan Games CEO Dr. Serkan Toto (an analyst with a history of revealing accurate insider information) says we can expect to see it next month.
According to Dr. Toto, Resident Evil 7 is a return to form for the series, focusing on the "horror roots" of the series. Nothing else was revealed about the content of the game, but Capcom is expected to unveil it at this year's E3. Additionally, Jordan Amaro (who worked as a designer on Metal Gear Solid V and P.T.) is said to be working on the game.
