Nintendo is currently developing a new dedicated gaming device under the code name NX (first announced almost a year ago), and they'll be sharing details on the system this year. During the wait, we've heard lots of juicy rumors and reports, and today we have an especially intriguing claim from a reliable source.

Dr. Serkan Toto, CEO of Tokyo-based game industry consultancy Kantan Games, is reporting that Bandai Namco Entertainment is currently developing multiple games for NX. Among them is a Super Smash Bros. game which Toto says is planned as a launch title. Unfortunately we have no other details at this time and the original source of the information cannot be revealed, but Toto has proven reliable in the past, and he assures fans that "the source situation is very solid. Otherwise I wouldn't have tweeted." It's unclear whether this is a new Super Smash Bros. game or a re-release of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U. We'll keep you posted if and when more details leak!
