Destiny 2, Bungie's planned sequel to its 2014 title Destiny, may be made available on PC alongside consoles, according to several developers "familiar with Bungie's plans." Contracts formed between Bungie and Activision in 2012 may bolster this rumor; these state that the sequel will be compatible with Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, as well as PC.

According to various sources, the game (which is due to release in 2017) will have new planets to explore filled with interesting towns, outposts, and quests. Additionally, players may not be able to carry over their original characters to Destiny 2.
