Last week Nintendo announced plans for a lengthy Nintendo Direct presentation that was scheduled for this past Thursday. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans. After Hokkaido, Japan was rocked by a 6.7 magnitude earthquake, Nintendo opted to delay the Direct. While we've received no official word on when the Direct will air, evidence of the new date is starting to pile up.

According to Nintendo Life's sources, the Direct has been moved to Thursday, September 13th, and it will air around 3:00 PM Pacific / 6:00 PM Eastern. Nintendo Life has previously been correct on scoops when it came to recent Directs, so although unconfirmed, there's good reason to trust their judgment here. Additionally, Splatoon 2 dataminers recently found that the game's rotation was changed to match this date, and a Japanese developer is teasing an announcement on that date as well.

If this date is correct, it will mark a one week delay for the Direct. Nintendo previously announced it as a 35-minute long broadcast, but it's unclear at this time whether that will still be the case or whether some of this week's announcements were originally planned to be part of the Direct. Either way, we'll be covering it all live here at Gamnesia, so tune in then!
