Aside from the Super Smash Bros series, the words "Nintendo" and "Fighting Games" haven't been synonymous since the days of the N64 (and arguably since the SNES). With the vast majority of releases in the genre landing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, fighting game fans have not had much to satiate them from the Big N; however, Nintendo may be aiming to change this. The revamped cult classic, Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers, was released on the Switch last month, and a port of Pokkén Tournament may be next.
According to Serebii, the Japanese retailer Sinobi listed an upcoming arcade stick for the Switch, claiming it could be used for fighting games like Pokkén Tournament. The listing was removed shortly after being discovered.
Is this an official confirmation that Pokkén will be making its way to the Switch? No. But is it a possibility? Absolutely. Perhaps we will even get more info at E3 later this month, or even during tomorrow's Pokémon Direct.
What do you think? Is Pokkén Tournament coming to the Switch? And is it worth picking up if so? Let us know below!
