Crystal Dynamic's Tomb Raider origin story is coming to an end this year with its third entry, the long rumored Shadow of the Tomb Raider, a game we know very little about so far. We've finally been given some answers today, with the game's official website seemingly leaving important information hidden deep within its code, including confirmation of the game's title, multiplatform status, and even the release date!
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms on September 14th, 2018. Word of the game's initial release as a multiplatform title may come as a surprise, considering how 2015's Rise of the Tomb Raider was an Xbox One exclusive for a full year after it came out.
While this information was leaked yesterday, it seems as though Square Enix was planning on formally announcing it today, March 15th, as the website itself was teasing the date. Alongside the leaked release date and other details, it appears the game is scheduled for a full scale reveal on April 27th, 2018.
