Stardew Valley has been a phenomenal success story from the world of indie gaming ever since its launch back in 2016. The farming simulator was already a big seller across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and last October it finally made its way to Nintendo Switch. Despite being the last console to get the game (other than Vita, which is still waiting), the Nintendo Switch release of Stardew Valley is nearing an impressive sales milestone.
Nintendo recently met with investors to disclose financial data from the past fiscal year. During the presentation, Nintendo highlighted the success of some key indie games on the Nintendo Switch eShop. According to Nintendo's internal data, Stardew Valley is just shy of one million units sold on Nintendo Switch alone. Nintendo also noted that Overcooked has sold over half a million units on Switch. They also praised Rocket League's performance on the console, but no specific figures were provided.
