Nintendo was definitely not done revealing new games at their Nintendo Spotlight for E3 2017. Along with Metroid: Samus Returns, Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido was announced for the Nintendo 3DS during the Nintendo Treehouse this past week.
As you can see in the trailer and Nintendo Treehouse footage below, Sushi Striker looks like it will be one of the weirder Nintendo releases for 2018. Indieszero, the developers who spearheaded the NES Remix games, wanted to try something different in the puzzle genre.
The game will be played by trying to wrack up combos through the touchscreen. Plates of sushi are spread out among three conveyor belts, and it is the player's job to create the biggest stacks of food possible and distract opponents by throwing plates at them. Companions that join you throughout the sushi-inspired adventure seem to add more wacky character to the experience as Sushi Striker progresses.
