Earlier today, during the livestream for Mega Man's 30th anniversary, Capcom announced that Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch next spring. These two collections, along with the upcoming Mega Man 11, which is also coming to Nintendo Switch next spring, comprise the entire mainline Mega Man series, from 1987 to the present day.

The original Mega Man Legacy Collection contains the classic era of Mega Man, from the series' inception until 1993's Mega Man 6. Its sequel contains the remaining four Mega Man titles, concluding with 2010's Mega Man 10. The first of these collections was released on Nintendo 3DS back in 2015, but the second was never released on a Nintendo console.

Please note that these collections do not include the popular Mega Man X series; the eight games in that franchise were also announced to be coming to all current-generation consoles, including Nintendo Switch, next year. These two collections also omit the many Mega Man spin-off titles from across the years, including Mega Man: The Wily Wars and its sequels, Mega Man Powered Up, and the many Game Boy Mega Man titles from the early 90s.
