As a staple of the Super Smash Bros. franchise, certain characters are simply never announced and left for the players to unlock on their own. The newest installment, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, is no exception. Coming from the game's official website, here are twenty brand new screenshots for two secret fighters. If you haven't been following Super Smash Bros. news and don't want the full roster spoiled for you, I recommend turning back now. You have been warned.

As we can see, the two secret fighters showcased here are the Melee veteran Doctor Mario and the newcomer Dark Pit. While both are semi-clone characters, they do bear certain features not found in their original character. Doctor Mario is slower but stronger and has the "Mario Tornado" as his down special instead of the F.L.U.D.D. Dark Pit is stronger and slower as well but at the cost of his arrows being harder to control.

So what do you think about these semi-clones? Do you like their inclusion or would you rather them not be in the game at all? Let us know in the comments!
