Back in 2014, Ubisoft decided to release two brand new Assassin's Creed games on the same day. Assassin's Creed Unity was released on the brand new Xbox One and PlayStation 4 systems and was also widely received as a colossal failure. This overshadowed the release of the other game, Assassin's Creed Rogue, which featured the popular pirate gameplay from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and released on the older Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles.

If you missed Rogue because it had to live in the shadow of Unity, you're in luck. Ubisoft is remastering the game for PS4 and Xbox One, even though it's only been a little over three years since the original game launched. Rogue Remastered will run in a 4K resolution on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro and will also feature "improved environment rendering, visual effects and textures," according to the company. It's not that far away, either, as it will be launching this upcoming March.

A PC version of the game has yet to be announced, leading some to believe the remastered title will be similar to the original PC version that launched in early 2015. For now, you can check out the trailer for Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered above!
