Back in March, we learned that indie darling Undertale is coming to Nintendo Switch. No launch window was given for the game (outside of "Coming... eventually"), but an Amazon listing from a month ago indicated that the game would launch on September 15th. Creator Toby Fox has since stepped forward with some more official information, including details on a Collector's Edition!
Thanks to Fox, Undertale now has an official September launch window. The exact date has not yet be revealed, but that info should be on the way soon. Fox also announced that a Collector's Edition is up for pre-order at Fangamer. Here's the breakdown of what you can expect in this special bundle.
For the first time ever you can play UNDERTALE on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation® 4 and PlayStation® Vita! Physical copies for Switch, PS4, PS Vita and PC are available now, along with a special collector's edition, exclusively on Fangamer.
The Collector's edition includes:
- The complete UNDERTALE soundtrack: Over 100 songs on 2 CDs
- UNDERTALE sheet music booklet featuring six songs with annotations by Toby Fox
- A 14k gold-plated brass music box locket
- A sturdy matchbox-style collector's box
- A standard edition copy of UNDERTALE for PS4, PS Vita, or PC
Both the Collector's and standard editions include:
- A 24-page storybooklet illustrated by Temmie Chang
Our new Nintendo Switch™ Collector's Edition includes all the existing collector's edition bonuses, plus a new slipcase.
Undertale initially launched back in 2015, and it quickly became a huge hit with a dedicated fanbase. Given that EarthBound on Super Nintendo is one of Fox's biggest influences, Undertale should feel right at home on Nintendo's hybrid console.
