Blizzard's long-running MMORPG World of Warcraft is no longer increasing its popularity with each passing day. Although still holding the title of most subscribers, World of Warcraft's numbers decreased by 800,000 this past quarter according to Activision Blizzard's financial report. This puts the game at around 6.8 million subscribers. This is still an impressive number, but it's nowhere near the 12 million players that the game boasted a few years ago at its height. During an earnings call it was mentioned that the upcoming expansion Warlords of Draenor is expected to bring back all of these lost subscribers and then more.
