Many Nintendo fans are worried that they may not be able to get their hands on the upcoming retro gaming system, the SNES Classic Edition. While the NES Classic suffered from various supply issues and was eventually discontinued after about half a year, Nintendo is looking to give everyone a better chance to purchase the SNES Classic.

Today on Nintendo's Facebook page, the company announced that they will be taking preorders for the console through various retailers this month, something that did not happen with the NES Classic. Additionally, Nintendo also said they will ship "a significant amount of additional systems" in order to meet demand. Overall, it sounds like they're more properly prepared for the SNES Classic release this time. You can read their full statement below:

"We appreciate the incredible anticipation that exists for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system, and can confirm that it will be made available for pre-order by various retailers late this month.

"A significant amount of additional systems will be shipped to stores for launch day, and throughout the balance of the calendar year." — Nintendo
