In celebration of BlizzCon, the Overwatch team released a brand new short centering around everyone's favorite anachronistic cyborg cowboy, Jesse McCree. Set in the Old West-themed map Route 66, the new short introduces not just one, but two heroes coming to Overwatch in the near future.

It's been an interesting week for Undertale fans. Toby Fox, creator of the indie sensation, began dropping teasers about an upcoming announcement earlier this week. When the fated day came, Fox made a "survey" available for download. This free download turned out to be the first chapter of a new RPG called Delta Rune, and it left Undertale fans with countless questions. Thankfully, Fox has returned to answer some of those questions.

Yesterday, Undertale creator Toby Fox took to Twitter to tease a mysterious, new project. A series of cryptic messages indicated that something "very, very interesting" would be revealed in 24 hours. The big reveal came today in the form of a website called Delta Rune which has a download link to something labeled "Survey Program." As it turns out, the true nature of the announcement is much more complicated than a simple survey.

One of the most fun-looking announcements of 2018 for me has been the reveal for Team Sonic Racing. I'm not a die-hard Sonic fan or anything, but I'll be damned if Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed isn't one of the most enjoyable kart racers on the market. It's not exactly in the same vein as the Mario Kart games, but it holds its own pretty well due to its competitive and cooperative nature. That's why this particular news is a bit of a letdown: because we'll have to wait until May to get our hands on it.

The average PC gamer pays for their own personal Christmas every time a Steam sale shows up. People often try to plan for them financially, but when they happen, it's a frenzy, and many gamers are willing to spend at least a fraction of their life savings on it. From new games priced way too low to classic titles at roughly the price of a McDonald's value pick, if they had a physical stock, it would be gone in moments. It looks like we get to plan for the remaining 2018 sales, though, thanks to a legitimate leak that reveals exactly when they'll happen.

In the past couple of years, we've seen a lot of crazy collector's editions for AAA titles. From that Dying Light bundle that included a real zombie-proof shelter to the million dollar Saints Row IV special edition that included space travel and a Lamborghini, you can really see how much major marketing teams are stepping up their game. Devil May Cry 5 is no exception, and their special edition is nothing to scoff at.

In just three months, Resident Evil 2 will be reborn on modern hardware, giving fans old and new alike the chance to experience the horror of Raccoon City in HD. Capcom has been showing off these new looks in a series of videos, and they also recently highlighted the game's "Noir filter."

Capcom gave the long-running Resident Evil franchise something of a fresh start with the back-to-roots survival-horror gameplay of Resident Evil VII, and the results were impressive. Now they're taking VII's game engine and using it to revisit one of the most popular classic entries in the franchise: Resident Evil 2. How will the development team go about creating something fresh that is still true to the feel of the original? Producer Tsuyoshi Kanda addressed this topic in a recent interview.

Here's how weird things have gotten with the AAA video game market these days: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 made half a billion dollars in its first 72 hours on the market, and investors are unhappy. While $500 million is an insane amount of money, and certainly more than most games make in their opening weekend, it actually marks a bit of a decline for the Black Ops brand, and the result is a 7% drop in Activision stock today.

Finally, we have a bit of good news relating to the recent Telltale closure saga. With the studio's closure, the fate of the remaining half of The Walking Dead: The Final Season hung in the balance, though the studio has been working to find a studio to finish it. All those efforts have paid off, as Skybound Games announced this weekend that they had reached a deal with Telltale to finish the two unreleased episodes.

My Hero Academia just made a huge splash at the box office with its first feature film, and soon it's heading to the realm of video games as well. My Hero: One's Justice is already out in Japan, and in a few weeks it'll be available in the West as well. The anime fighting game boasts an extensive roster of playable heroes and villains, and that roster will continue to grow as more DLC characters are revealed.

Telltale's closure announcement couldn't have come at a worse time for fans of The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead: The Final Season is only halfway completed but, due to the coming closure, will not currently be finished. There is hope, but only if another company swoops in to finish the remaining two episodes. As a result of this inability to complete the promised content, sales of The Walking Dead: The Final Season have been indefinitely halted across digital platforms.

It's been 8 years since Mega Man fans have received a game in the franchise's mainline series. Since Capcom's reveal of Mega Man 11 late last year, many of the Blue Bomber's fans have been anxiously awaiting launch day, and thankfully, the wait is over. Capcom is trying to kick things into overdrive by introducing a brand-new mechanic to the game, but the biggest question still remains. Does Mega Man 11 have what it takes to make up for the long drought?

Bethesda is gearing up to launch Fallout 76, an online-only softcore survival game that shakes up the traditional formula of the series to offer something new. Ahead of its launch, Bethesda's giving players the chance to participate in a "Break-it Early Test Application," or "B.E.T.A." that gives you access to the full game.
